OIA provides students with a digital library, which provides a wide range of materials and teaching notes for students to refer to. Students can access to the resources free of charge, a useful tool for the progression of their learning.

OSSD Courses

OIA OSSD courses are designed by our OCT teachers, and they are offered as required by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

All the courses are recorded by OCT teachers. Students can watch, pause, repeat the course videos at their convenience, truly without any barrier of time and space.

Bilingual Tutoring

Students are supported by bilingual teachers speaking English and Mandarin, to enhance their understanding of OSSD teaching methodologies. These courses are recorded and available under a flexible learning mode.

There are two types of bilingual education. The first is transitional bilingual education. This form of education is designed to help students who are non-native English speakers keep up with their studies. Students learn about varying areas of study in a bilingual setting to ease them into an all-English classroom. The second type of bilingual education is two-way or dual immersion bilingual education. This form of education is designed for native and non-native English speakers alike. Anybody who wants to learn more than one language can participate in two-way or dual immersion bilingual education to expand their knowledge and work in an immersive style. No matter which type of bilingual education you are involved in, a bilingual education tutor can help. Immerse yourself in more than one language through bilingual education tutoring. Whether you are using these tutoring sessions to supplement a college class or you are looking to build your knowledge outside of the classroom, a tutor can provide their assistance to help you work towards your goals.

Personal LIVE Tutoring

OIA teachers also provide online 1-on-1 tutoring to students in real time. Students can get personal learning advice from our teachers, that make our students feel they matter. Which they do.

Online tutoring is great for basic tutoring sessions, homework help and test preparation. Our tutors are all based in Ontario even though they are online, they are actually local tutors that are trained in the Ontario curriculum.

Compared to the cost of a private in home tutoring session, online tutoring costs are lower and very practical for students who live in remote areas.

ESL

Our ESL program is dedicated to improving students’ English proficiency at different levels and prepare them for the future in terms of OSSD courses, and university application assessments.

TESOL

The TESOL program at OIA strengthens teachers’ teaching and tutoring skills. Candidates equipped with TESOL certificates enjoy the privilege of taking a role of part-time or full-time teachers at OIA, and they also have stronger competence to become a teacher at other language schools.
