Peer Mentorship Program

At OIA, the Peer Mentorship Program offers comprehensive mentorship services for students enrolled in or entering Grade 12, helping with multiple areas ranging from university application strategies to academic writing improvement. Mentors provide guidance and support for a variety of non-academic issues as their mentees transition into post-secondary life, ensuring each mentee will receive at least one offer of admission from a top Canadian university or college.

A peer mentor can be a teacher or a student. The Peer Mentorship Program is dedicated to helping students reach their academic goals and enjoy their life during high school.  Students cam seek help from mentors or they can become mentors themselves. Both situations encourage personal empowerment, allowing students to practice and develop valuable skills while experiencing campus life.

The Peer Mentorship Program matches senior student mentors with first-year or junior student mentees in a structured relationship based on their program of study, common interests or a combination. Mentorship partners can choose to meet face-to-face, one-on-one or in small groups, or to chat over email or social media.
