- Student language will be such that it shows respect for staff and students. Swearing, crude, rude and obscene words or actions are forbidden.
- Behave appropriately; insulting language and disrespectful behavior is not allowed.
- Protect the environment in public areas and take care of public property.
- Pay attention to personal hygiene and form good hygienic habits.
- Actively create a happy, progressive, group-oriented student mindset and school environment . Develop a sense of pride for your class and the school.
- Students should keep their clothing clean and tidy. Your clothing and attitude should be modest so that it does not in any way cause any person to take offense in this multi-cultural environment.
- No inappropriate hair styling, dyed hair or tattoos.
- Wear appropriate sports dress for P.E. class.
- The length of shorts or skirts should be no shorter than 10cm above the knee.
- No revealing clothing. The bottoms of a top must cover the tops of a bottom. Shoulder width must be a minimum of 6 cm. No backless tops are permitted.
- Students are not allowed to wear slippers at school.
- Willful damage on school property will be charged 2-5 times the price for repair costs.
The following behaviors are unacceptable at Outstanding International Academy. Students who perform any of the following actions will face disciplinary action that may include suspension or expulsion.
- Skipping class
- Theft
- Fighting or any act of violence, verbal abuse, bullying or discrimination.
- Disturbing the class or cheating on an exam.
- Smoking or being in possession of alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Unsuitable relationships between boys and girls.
- Gambling
Other behaviors that violate the school rules and regulations.
- Swearing at a teacher, physical assault and threats of serious physical injury.
- Being disruptive in class or consistent incompletion of assignments and homework.
- Cheating or helping others cheat.
- Destroying the campus greenery and environment.
- Destroying the school or others’ property on purpose.
- Violating dorm rules
Consequences and punishments for unacceptable behaviors are specified in the discipline policies. For any violations by the student, the parents will be contacted and informed of the decision. Parents will receive a written decision for any serious misdemeanors that occur. The school will keep the copy of this file and decide when to revoke the punishment based on the students’ subsequent behavior. The disciplinary actions are as following:
- Oral Warning/ Detention/Community Service
- Day Suspension
- Expulsion
