Yes. OIA is inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education and we are granted the right to issue credits towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma(OSSD).
Thirty(30) credits as well as the Ontario Literacy Requirement.
Yes. You must forward an official, with seal, English translation of your school transcript to OIA for equivalency rating. If the prerequisite course requirement has been met you will receive advanced standing. OIA will then establish how many credits remain for you to graduate and receive the OSSD. You can then apply to any university in the world.
Yes. OIA offers a full range of English course levels that can fit any English Language Learner from beginner to advanced. We can accommodate the needs of students who require English as a Second Language(ESL).
All classes are written and taught by professional educators. OIA follows the standards and curriculum set by the Ministry of Education for Ontario. All courses at OIA are delivered in English at the appropriate grade level. Eg: grade 12 math is delivered at a grade 12 English level. Proficiency in English is a requirement at OIA,however, we are able to assist your English development at all levels. We are here to help you succeed.
All OIA students have access to our ‘Pathways Counselling Program.’ Students receive guidance counselling to ensure they are heading in the right direction for future university or college choices. Through our program students clearly understand the choices they need to make to open an exciting new future.
